Hamptons History

Hamptons is owned and run by Andrew Bradshaw and Peter Knowles. Creating Hamptons has allowed them to combine their talents and share their passion for design with a wider audience.

The store is a wonderful space which was originally built as a meeting hall before falling into disrepair. But now once again the building has become a gathering place whether it’s to view the current collections or to meet with friends in the Blue Pelican Café.

Before creating Hamptons, Andrew and Peter had found that the retail experience on the UK high street could often be disappointing. A lack of excitement amongst the products on offer, little uniqueness and quite often poor or indifferent customer service was sadly commonplace. Creating the Hamptons Store enabled them to bring together a collection of exquisite and unusual products many of which are exclusive to Hamptons; in fact our customers often comment that they have never seen many of our products before. The store also prides itself on providing exceptional customer service.

With their design studio based within the store Andrew and Peter are on hand to discuss projects with clients as well as giving customers the advantage of their design expertise.
